The DOD updated the CMMC Assessment artifact requirements on November 30, 2020. This update increased the number of potential artifacts that an assessor may request during a client’s assessment.
ISOP has been busy refreshing and cross-mapping the CMMC 17 Practices Areas for ML-1, including the policies, artifacts, and a CMMC manual for our clients. Based on this, ISOP is ready to start ML-1 implementation for clients as we continue to finish the preparation work for ML-3 based upon the newest guidelines.
ISOP as a Registered Provider Organization (RPO) and has Registered Practitioners (RPs) that will be performing the implementations for our clients. The major benefit of this is that the organization requesting assessment can provide the RPO and our RP’s registration numbers to the CMMC-AB.
The CMMC-AB and the DoD CMMC organization has stated that they intend to enforce all CMMC assessments to include an RPO/RP review verification. The method of enforcement is to ensure there is an RPO and an RP registration number for any implementations.
